[edit | edit source]Matthew 8:28-34 - this Bible fragment gives more questions than answers.
Matthew 8:28 > And when He had come to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two demon-possessed ones met Him, coming out of the tombs, very violent, so that no one was able to pass through that way.
I may hypothesize that they were two construction workers, something fell on their heads. They both became psyches and daemons used this to control their brains.
I also was a daemon possessed before I confessed Holy Trinity and after this applied to God for salvation 8 August 1995. I was a maniacal killer (I tried to hunt people with a knife.), I unlearned to read, write, and count. I think, this is because I fell from a sofa head down, when I was 11 month old. Jesus healed my brain in one moment. So, we have a story of two maniacal killers like me, “so that no one was able to pass through that way”.
Leave a comment, whether in your opinion my brain was really healed by God or is it a lie (why then would I lie? I just want to tell the truth).
Also note that “coming out of the tombs” does not mean that they were zombies. Tombs that historic period were caves and they lived in caves. How did they earn their living? I may guess than they ate deadbodies in tombs. Comment, how do you explain why two mad mans didn’t die from hunger.
Matthew 8:29 > And, behold! They cried out, saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here beforetime to torment us?
Son of God means, one who grows to become God. A son of God is greater than a child of God and a god is greater than a son of God. Jesus is both a son of God and a god.
Daemons understand that in the future they will be tormented. Leave a comment, what do you think is the purpose for which daemons will be tormented, not just isolated.
Matthew 8:30-32 > 30 And far off from them there was a herd of many pigs feeding. 31 And the demons begged Him, saying, If You cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of pigs. 32 And He said to them, Go! And coming out, these went away into the herd of pigs. And, behold, all the herd of pigs rushed down the cliff into the sea, and died in the waters.
I wonder why daemons made the pigs to sink. They wanted to be in the pigs. It would be logical, if they wanted then the pigs to remain alive. Why? Leave a comment.
Matthew 8:33-24 > 33 But those who fed them fled, and going into the city, they told all the things of the ones who had been demon-possessed. 34 And, behold, all the city went out to meet with Jesus. And seeing Him, they begged that He move away from their borders.
What is the purpose of them asking Jesus to leave? Is it greediness of lost pigs? Leave a comment, whether it was great selfishness preferring their pigs over Jesus.
