A short sermon on Matthew 7:1-5:

Among atheistic philosophers and scientists it’s popular to criticize biblical God for people suffering, being sick, being not protected from killing each other, etc.

Let us see this in the light of the scripture.

“1 Do not criticize, that you may not be criticized. 2 For by what criticism ye criticize, you will be criticized, and by what measure you measure, it will be measured to you. 3 And why do you see the speck in your brother's eye, but do not notice the beam in your own eye? 4 Or how will you say to your brother, Let me take out the speck from your eye, and behold, the beam in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take out the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck from your brother's eye.”

Now it’s clear that God behaves to people just like as people behave to laboratory rats. God makes experiments on people (not because God would not know the outcome of experiments, but to reliably demonstrate the outcomes).

If people would not torture lab rats, God would not torture people, accordingly Matthew 7:2.

I don't propose to immediately ban all harm to lab animals for the following reason: If it would be done fully (and this would probably include even no harm to bacteria), then accordingly the Gospel of Matthew, God would have pity on us. But if some governments would implement this policy, some not, it would be done partially. And doing this partially is no good: Better to continue the current policy of harming laboratory animals for the benefit of humanity, because this is a consistent policy, not half-measures.
